Tea at the Taj: Afternoon Tea at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, India

Afternoon tea at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai has been on my bucket list since I fell in love with afternoon tea during my stint as a Londoner. Tea is served in the Sea Lounge with a view of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India. Does it get any more dreamy?

This tea mixes Indian street food classics with classic British afternoon tea fare.

After sitting at our table, our tea order was taken.

Many many cakes!
Panipuri. Pani means water and puri is a hallow, crisp puff pastry vessel. The flavored pani is poured into the puri just before serving.
Some traditional finger sandwiches…with a samosa thrown in for good measure!
